QuickMappin (hereinafter referred to as "the App") respects the privacy of its users and is committed to protecting personal information. This Privacy Policy explains the information that the App collects, uses, and protects.

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Location Data
The App collects location data for the purpose of displaying your current location on the map.
Location data is collected only while the App is in use; no background location tracking is performed.
Location data is not used for the purpose of identifying individuals.
Location data is not used for the purpose of tracking users.
Please note that the accuracy of location data depends on your device and surrounding environment.
1.2 Data Collected by Third-Party Services
The following third-party services used in the App may automatically collect certain data:
Google AdMob (Advertising):
- Advertising identifier (IDFA)
- IP address
- Device identifiers
- Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
This data is not directly collected or stored by us, but is collected and managed by Google.
Firebase Analytics:
- App instance ID (anonymous identifier)
- Device information (model, OS version)
- App version
- Screen views and interaction events (pin creation, deletion, customization, etc.)
- User properties (cumulative pin count, days since install, language setting, etc.)
This data is collected and managed by Google. No personally identifiable information is included.
1.3 Survey Responses
To improve the App, we may collect the following information through an in-app survey. Responding to the survey is optional.
- Selected features you would like in the future (photo attachment, sharing, other, none)
- Free-text input entered when "Other" is selected
- App instance ID (anonymous identifier)
- App version
- Submission timestamp
This data is stored in a database managed by us on Cloud Firestore, a database service provided by Google. Survey responses are used solely for the purpose of improving the App and are not used to identify individuals. Please do not enter any personally identifiable information in the free-text field.
2. How We Use Information
The information we collect is used solely for the following purposes:
- Displaying your current location on the map
- Analyzing app usage and improving the App's functionality (anonymous usage statistics via Firebase Analytics)
- Improving the App's functionality based on in-app survey responses
3. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data based on the following legal grounds under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Consent: Location data is collected only with your explicit consent, which you provide through the iOS location permission prompt. You may withdraw consent at any time through your device settings.
- Consent (via App Tracking Transparency): Personalized advertising through AdMob requires your consent via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you do not consent, only non-personalized ads are displayed.
- Consent: The collection of usage statistics by Firebase Analytics is based on user consent obtained through the UMP Consent Management Platform. The data collected is based on pseudonymized app instance IDs and does not directly identify individuals. Users may withdraw their consent at any time through the UMP Consent Management Platform.
4. Data Storage and Management
4.1 Storage Location
Data directly managed by the App, such as pins and settings, is stored locally on your iOS device using SwiftData and is never transmitted to our external servers or the cloud.
However, if you respond to the in-app survey, your survey responses (the data described in Section 1.3) are transmitted to and stored in a database managed by us on Google's Cloud Firestore. In addition, Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics transmit the data described in Section 1.2 to their respective servers.
4.2 Data Deletion
The App does not have an automatic data deletion feature. Users can manually delete pins through in-app operations.
When you uninstall the App, all app data stored on your device (pins, settings, etc.) is automatically deleted.
5. Data Retention
- Local data (pins, settings): Retained on your device until you manually delete them or uninstall the App.
- Survey responses: Retained in a Cloud Firestore database managed by us for as long as necessary for the purpose of improving the App.
- AdMob data: Retained by Google in accordance with their data retention policies. See Google Privacy Policy for details.
- Firebase Analytics data: Retained by Google in accordance with their data retention policies (default 14 months). See Firebase Privacy Support Page for details.
6. Sharing Information with Third Parties
The App does not share users' location data or personal information with third parties, except in the following cases:
- When disclosure is required by law
- When the user has given consent
- When Google AdMob, used for displaying advertisements, automatically collects information necessary for ad delivery (such as advertising identifiers and IP addresses). *This data is managed and processed by Google. We do not directly access personally identifiable information from this data.
- When Firebase Analytics automatically collects information necessary for app usage analysis (such as app instance IDs and event data). *This data is managed and processed by Google.
7. Advertising
7.1 Google AdMob
The App uses Google AdMob to display banner ads and app open ads. AdMob may collect the following information for ad delivery:
- Advertising identifier (IDFA)
- IP address
- Device identifiers
- Device information
- Ad performance data
Data collected by AdMob is managed and processed by Google. This data is not directly collected or stored by us, but is managed in accordance with Google's policies as a service provider.

7.2 Ad Personalization and Opt-Out
The App obtains user consent for ad tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.
If you decline tracking in the ATT prompt, personalized ads will not be displayed and only non-personalized ads will be served.
You can control advertising settings through the following methods:
- Manage per-app tracking permissions via iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
- Reset your advertising identifier (IDFA) via iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising
- Manage advertising settings associated with your Google account via Google Data & Privacy
7.3 Firebase Analytics
The App uses Firebase Analytics to analyze app usage. Firebase Analytics may collect the following data:
- App instance ID (anonymous identifier)
- Device information (model, OS version)
- App version
- Screen views and interaction events (pin creation, deletion, customization, etc.)
- User properties (cumulative pin count, days since install, language setting, etc.)
Firebase Analytics does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and instead uses an anonymous app instance ID.

You can opt out of data collection by Firebase Analytics through the UMP Consent Management Platform.
8. International Data Transfers
Through the use of Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics, certain data may be transferred to and processed on Google's servers located in the United States and other countries outside of your country of residence.
Google implements appropriate data protection measures for international data transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, to ensure that your data is protected in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

9. Required Permissions
The App requires the following permissions:
- Location (While Using the App): Required for displaying your current location on the map
10. Data Security
The App uses standard iOS security features to protect user data. All data is securely stored on the device.
11. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 16 (or the age defined by applicable local laws). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under the applicable age, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
12. Your Rights
12.1 Rights Under the GDPR (EEA/UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of Access: You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Right to Erasure: You have the right to request deletion of your personal data.
- Right to Restriction: You have the right to request restriction of processing of your personal data.
- Right to Data Portability: You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Right to Object: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data based on legitimate interests.
- Right to Lodge a Complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of residence.
12.2 Rights Under the CCPA/CPRA (California Residents)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA):
- Right to Know: You have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold.
- Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of your personal information.
- Right to Opt-Out: You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Note: We do not sell your personal information.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.
12.3 Exercising Your Rights
Since the App stores data such as pins and settings locally on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly:
- Delete your data by removing pins within the App or uninstalling the App
- Control location data collection through your iOS device settings
- Control ad tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency settings
