Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") set forth the conditions for the use of "QuickMappin" (hereinafter referred to as "the App") and define the rights and obligations between the user (hereinafter referred to as "User") and the App's provider, Kosuke Kaya (hereinafter referred to as "the Provider"). By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
Article 1 (Scope of Application)
These Terms shall apply to all matters relating to the use of the App between the User and the Provider.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, the User is deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age (or at least 16 years of age in jurisdictions where required by applicable law, such as the EU/EEA under GDPR).
Article 2 (License to Use)
The Provider grants the User a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App under these Terms.
This license is valid under the following conditions:
- Use only for personal, non-commercial purposes
- Compliance with all provisions of these Terms
- Compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Article 3 (Prohibited Actions)
Users shall not engage in the following actions when using the App:
- Using the App for illegal purposes
- Interfering with the operation of the App
- Decompiling, disassembling, or reverse-engineering the App's source code
- Modifying, copying, distributing, selling, transferring, or lending the App
- Infringing on the rights of third parties (such as copyrights and privacy rights)
- Causing harm to the App or third parties
- Any other actions that materially interfere with the operation or security of the App
Article 4 (Provision of the App)
4.1 Service Provision
The App provides features such as recording your current location as a pin, automatic address retrieval, and displaying records on the map, within the scope determined by the Provider. Details of the features offered are described within the App or on our website.
4.2 Changes, Suspension, and Termination of Service
The Provider may change, add, or remove content of the App without prior notice to Users.
The Provider may temporarily suspend or terminate the provision of the App in the following cases:
- When performing maintenance on the App
- When provision of the App becomes impossible due to force majeure such as fire, power outage, or natural disaster
- When there are issues with third-party services (AdMob, etc.)
- When the Provider determines that provision of the App is otherwise difficult
Article 5 (Location Data and Privacy)
The App collects the User's location data only while in use and stores it locally on the device. For details on how location data is handled, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
Users can revoke location access permission at any time through iOS settings. However, if location access is not granted, the App's core features will be unavailable.
Article 6 (Data Management and Deletion)
6.1 Data Storage
All data collected by the App is stored locally on the User's device using SwiftData. No data is transmitted to the Provider's servers or the cloud.
6.2 Automatic Deletion
The App does not have an automatic data deletion feature. Recorded pins are stored on the device until manually deleted by the User.
6.3 Manual Deletion
Users can delete individual records through in-app operations.
6.4 Upon Uninstallation
Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all data from the device. Deleted data cannot be recovered.
6.5 Disclaimer Regarding Data Loss
Data may be lost due to the User's device environment, changes in OS specifications, insufficient storage, or other factors. The Provider assumes no liability for any damages resulting from such data loss.
Article 7 (Advertising and Analytics)
7.1 Advertising
The App uses Google AdMob to display banner ads and app open ads. Displaying advertisements does not incur any additional cost to the User.
The content and frequency of advertisements may be changed without prior notice.
Article 8 (Intellectual Property)
All intellectual property rights related to the App belong to the Provider or to third parties who have granted licenses to the Provider.
The license to use the App under these Terms does not constitute a transfer of intellectual property rights related to the App.
Article 9 (Disclaimer)
9.1 Use of the App
Users use the App at their own risk and judgment. The Provider shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of the App, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.
9.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy
The Provider makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of the location data, addresses, or other information recorded by the App.
9.3 Limitation of Liability
The Provider shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of the App, including but not limited to failure to record data, loss of records, or inaccurate data.
Data may also be lost due to the User's device environment, changes in OS specifications, or insufficient storage. The Provider assumes no liability for damages caused by such circumstances.
9.4 Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services such as Google AdMob. The Provider is not responsible for any issues related to these services.
Article 10 (Disclaimer of Warranties)
The App is provided "as is." The Provider makes no warranties, including but not limited to:
- That the App will operate without interruption
- That the App will be free of errors or defects
- That the App will work on all devices
- That the App will be fit for a particular purpose
Article 11 (Changes to These Terms)
The Provider may change these Terms when deemed necessary. If significant changes are made, Users will be notified through in-app notices or other means the Provider deems appropriate.
The revised Terms shall take effect upon being posted on this website.
By continuing to use the App after changes to these Terms, Users are deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.
Article 12 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict of law principles.
However, if you are a consumer residing in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
Article 13 (Severability)
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue to remain in full force and effect.
